About SteinkeTool

SteinkeTool was started in 2023 by a freelance editor who specialized in reviewing content for online publications. After editing hundreds of articles across dozens of clients, she noticed that the same quality issues appeared again and again: readability scores too high for the target audience, inconsistent tone that shifted between formal and casual within the same piece, headlines that were technically accurate but had zero emotional pull, and occasional passages that too closely resembled existing published content.

She wanted a set of focused analysis tools that could flag these issues before she even started her manual review — saving time on the mechanical checks so she could focus on the editorial decisions that required human judgment and taste.

Analysis Tools, Not Writing Tools

SteinkeTool is deliberately positioned as a writing analysis toolkit, not a writing generation toolkit. We do not create content for you — we help you evaluate and improve content you have already written. The Grammar Checker finds errors. The Readability Scorer tells you if your text matches your audience’s reading level. The Tone Detector reveals whether your writing sounds the way you intended. The Plagiarism Checker ensures your work is original. The Headline Analyzer tells you whether your title will make someone click.

This distinction matters because writing and editing are different skills that require different tools. A content generator and a content analyzer serve fundamentally different purposes, and mixing them creates tools that do neither job well.

Built for Quality-Conscious Writers

Our users are people who care about the quality of their writing — professional editors, content writers with editorial standards, students submitting work that will be graded, journalists whose credibility depends on originality, and marketing professionals whose brand voice must be consistent across all communications. These users do not need help producing more words — they need help ensuring that their words are clear, original, appropriately toned, and accessible to their intended readers.

Privacy

Text submitted for analysis is processed to generate results and is not stored, indexed, or used for any other purpose. We understand that our users often analyze confidential, unpublished, or sensitive content, and we handle every input with appropriate respect for privacy.

The Team

SteinkeTool is maintained by an editor, a linguist, and a developer. Our editorial team member uses every tool in her professional practice, which means quality issues get identified and fixed from a user’s perspective, not just a developer’s.
